It happens to all of us from time to time: You’re talking to friends, and eventually one of them says something like, “Hey, you work at a bank. Let me ask you about…” This is your opportunity to refer your friends to a specialist here at North Shore Bank who can help them with their financial need.
And wouldn’t it be even better if you could get rewarded for that referral? You can, through our “Together, Achieving More” referral program.
Program overview
Non-sales, non-branch employees can earn reward points for referrals:
- Non-sales employees of non-branch departments earn debit card reward points when they refer individuals or businesses to North Shore Bank and Illinois State Bank for deposit, loan, credit card, or investment accounts. Point values are listed at the end of this post.
How to send a referral in R1
To participate, simply create a referral in R1.pdf and submit the referral to the appropriate person. You can submit to your local branch, mortgage LO, business banker, or investment rep. If you’re unsure of whom it should go to, send it to:
- Craig Witz (any deposit accounts, credit cards, or consumer loans)
- Chris Boland (any mortgage opportunities)
- Erika Milosevich (any investment opportunities)
- Penny Foust (any business banking opportunities)
How to find referrals
The easiest way is to pay attention to conversations you have. There are some triggers that can help you get started:
- Someone mentions dissatisfaction with their bank, their accounts, or fees (checking prospect)
- Someone mentions a project they want to take on, like a new roof, patio, etc. (home equity line of credit)
- Someone mentions an upcoming trip (credit or prepaid card)
- Someone is stressed about bills (HELOC, mortgage, or 0 percent introductory credit card rate)
- Someone talks about wanting to buy their first home, a new home, or refinance their mortgage (mortgage)
- Someone is starting a new job (401k rollover) or has inherited money (investment prospect)
Where might you find these conversations taking place?
- At family gatherings
- When hanging around with friends
- At the gym, grocery store, or neighborhood/school functions
- Just about anywhere!
