Kading enjoys 20 years of learning, helping clients
“The food,” jokes Appleton Northland personal banker Kelly Kading, when asked what has kept him at North Shore Bank for 20 years.
Kelly clarifies that he’s kidding. Actually, he says, “I was encouraged by the fun sales culture from the start, and my goal to be a lifelong learner has also been achieved at North Shore Bank. I love how we continually teach and learn from each other. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but with some good mentors, encouragement, and wanting to learn, banking was it.” Read more about Kelly’s career and what he’s learned over the years!
Long lines showcase success of Shredding Day
North Shore Bank’s Community Shredding Day on May 5 was a popular event across our branches.
“The nice weather made it appealing for customers and neighbors to stop by with the documents for shredding,” said Kate Knox, AVP of marketing communications. “We are pleased that so many people were interested in taking this step to help prevent identity theft.” Take a look at more photos from this busy day!

New Hires for May 17
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.
Kenosha Festival assistant branch manager–sales Bridget Anderson grew up on a farm in Iowa before moving to Racine, where her husband’s family lives. “I learned to drive a tractor before I learned to drive a car,” she says. Before joining the bank, she was a stay-at-home mom to her three kids. “They keep us very busy with sports and other school activities. I help coach my daughter’s volleyball team. Go Sparks!” Bridget says. “I also love football and baseball. You will find me cheering on my Iowa Hawkeyes in the fall, and the Brew Crew in the spring and summer.” •••
Yummy granola bars, a fave at Green Bay East
“I make these quite often, and everyone at our branch likes them. They don’t last long!” says Green Bay East assistant branch manager–operations Diane Leiterman. In fact, she says, a colleague specifically asked her to make these granola bars for her Shorelines contribution. Read more about how to make them!
North Shore Shape Up: Got teens? Teach them to cook
There are so many things your kids need to know — unfortunately, how to feed themselves isn’t always high on the list. You may be doing them a real service by teaching them to cook. Cleveland Clinic Wellness reports on a new study that suggests that teenagers who know their way around the kitchen are more likely to eat healthfully once they’re out of the house:
Researchers looked at data from thousands of people who were surveyed at ages 18 to 23 about their cooking skills and later, when they were 30 to 35, about their cooking and eating habits. In their 30s, those who had rated their cooking skills as “adequate” or “very adequate” as young adults were more likely to prepare meals that included vegetables and eat meals as a family, and less likely to eat fast food, than those who had reported poorer cooking skills.
Encourage your teenagers to take home economics classes if their school offers them, or invite them to help the parent who usually prepares meals. You could be doing their future selves a lot of good! •••
