Last week, North Shore Bank filed initial paperwork with the city to build a new branch north of downtown Milwaukee, near North Water and East Pleasant streets.
Construction on the branch, our first in the North End neighborhood, should begin within a year. As of now, plans are to renovate the vacant two-story building on the site and construct an addition next to it. Above is a computer-generated rendering of the branch.
“There’s so much happening near the North End in terms of residential, business, and entertainment development, and we already have hundreds of customer households in that area who have asked for us to have a greater presence,” senior VP of retail banking Sue Doyle said in our press release. “This is a great fit for our bank, our customers, and the community, and we’re really looking forward to becoming an active and involved part of this neighborhood.”
