Ostroski’s son, grandson run into Heisman-winning ex-NFL player

VP commercial banking Phil Ostroski’s son Joseph had a cool experience earlier this fall, when he and Phil’s 4-year-old grandson Louis met former NFL running back Tony Dorsett Sr. (above at left) in Pittsburgh International Airport. All three guys were on their way to cheer on the University of Pittsburgh Panthers as they took on the Penn State Nittany Lions. Alas, the game didn’t go well for the Panthers — who were on the losing end of a 51-6 final score — but Phil notes that they’ve rebounded and play Clemson for the Atlantic Coast Conference championship this Saturday.

“Everyone had a great time,” he says of Joseph and Louis’s trip, describing their meeting with Dorsett — who led Pitt to a national title and won the Heisman Trophy in 1976, and played for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos professionally — as “serendipity.”
