It happens to all of us from time to time: You’re talking to friends, and one of them says, “Hey, you work at a bank. Let me ask you about…” This is your opportunity to refer them to a North Shore Bank specialist who can help. You can also speak to them about our current promotions.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could get rewarded for doing so? Well, you can — through our “Together, Achieving More” referral program.
Program Overview
Non-sales, non-branch employees can earn $25 in Seymour Salutes points for a referral when they refer individuals or businesses to North Shore Bank or Illinois State Bank for deposit, loan, credit card, or investment accounts.
How to send a referral in R1
To participate, simply create a referral in R1 and submit the referral to the appropriate person. You can submit to your local branch, mortgage LO, business banker, or investment rep. If you’re unsure of whom it should go to, send the referral to:
- Craig Witz (deposit accounts, credit cards, or consumer loans)
- Chris Boland (mortgage opportunities)
- Erika Milosevich (investment opportunities)
- Penny Foust (business banking opportunities)
How to find referrals
The easiest way to find referrals is to pay attention during conversations with friends, family, and acquaintances. Keep your ears open for triggers like these, when someone mentions…
- Dissatisfaction with their bank, accounts, or fees (checking prospect)
- A project they want to take on, like a new roof or patio (home equity line of credit)
- An upcoming trip (credit card or prepaid card)
- Stress due to bills (HELOC, mortgage, or 0% introductory credit card rate)
- Wanting to buy their first home or a new home, or to refinance their mortgage (mortgage)
- Starting a new job (401k rollover) or inheriting money (investment prospect)
Where might these conversations take place?
- At family gatherings
- Hanging around with friends
- At the gym, grocery store, or neighborhood or school functions
- Just about anywhere!
Provisos, limitations, addenda
- The “Together, Achieving More” referral incentive program is only for non-sales, non-branch positions up to and including AVP.
- All employees who participate will be recognized in Shorelines.
- Accounts must be open within 90 days of referral. Personal referrals (for oneself or immediate family members) are excluded.
- Call center employees are eligible when referrals are generated outside of their daily interaction with customers.
- Branch Admin will monitor results monthly and report on referrals received for crediting the employees with Seymour Salutes points.
