This week, president and COO Jay McKenna marks 20 years of service to North Shore Bank. In honor of the milestone, he shared some thoughts with Shorelines:
Looking back it has been a great 20 years. My time at North Shore coincides with my kids going from newborn or unborn to almost grown. We all know how “fast” our kids grow up, so my time here has really flown.
I tell people that it is an honor, privilege, and blessing to work for this company. It was true 20 years ago, and it remains especially true today, as there are now 195 Wisconsin banks (and falling) compared with 389 20 years ago! A testament to what we are is the large number of people who have been at North Shore for 10, 20, and 30-plus years. I am happy to be in such great company with those individuals. The business challenges we faced 20 years ago are in many ways the same, but also quite different. As we all know, there is rarely a dull day in banking. I am looking forward to the next chapter with all of my colleagues at North Shore Bank.
Congratulations again …. we are blessed to have you leading us!! You are a great example of leadership, patience and compassion to all !! I continue to learn from you that “this is not a race but a marathon” . Thank you for all you do for all of us!!
