Lemonade stand lets managers chat with public
Milwaukee Capitol branch manager Erica Hughes (pictured above) and Brookfield Capitol branch manager Rebecca McCartney ran a lemonade stand last Saturday to connect with people using our stand-alone video teller machine at Silver Spring.
“We were able to mention a checking account to several non-customers who were using the machine,” Rebecca reported. “And a current customer was very excited to bring his son, who will be attending UW-Whitewater, in to open a checking account. He mentioned that the video teller machine was conveniently located for his everyday needs, and that he appreciates that North Shore Bank has plenty of them.” •••
NSB works Racine County Fair
North Shore Bank employees worked our booth at the Racine County Fair last Thursday, July 25. Because the theme of this year’s fair was “Year of the Hog,” employees made some personal piggy banks for kids, Union Grove branch manager Ashley Singstock said.

Sturgeon Bay raises over $1,500 for Humane Society
The Sturgeon Bay branch’s June fundraiser for the Door County campus of the Wisconsin Humane Society raised $1,564.04. Teller supervisor Tara Neuville (above at left) presented a check for the money, along with donated pet supplies, to the society’s Shaina Allen. Therapy dog Sarge represented the beneficiaries of our goodwill.
“We gave out paw tags for monetary donations and had a coin-counting match and a donation box to help meet the needs of the animals housed at the Door County campus,” Tara said. “We also gave out pet-friendly treats to the dogs that visited the branch — as well as puppy chow, Scooby snacks, and Goldfish crackers for the community members who came in to help us support such a great organization.” Branch employees also shared photos of their cuddly buddies for a poster promoting the fundraiser, pictured above. •••

Bayshore universal banker Iliana Gerena Jimenez is from San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, and previously worked as a secretary for Milwaukee Public Schools. “I love spending time with my children, chocolate, and watching Korean shows on Netflix!” she says. “I love to see the differences in how they see relationships and life. The differences in culture fascinate me! Also, some are really funny.”
El Rey teller Efren Martinez was born and raised in Milwaukee and previously worked as an assistant manager at Wingstop. “I’m a funny, outgoing person and love to associate with people,” Efren says. “In my free time, I like to spend family time and enjoy the moment.” •••
