Nicole McKenzie has learned a lot over 20 years
Senior commercial loan servicing analyst Nicole McKenzie has moved around a lot since joining North Shore Bank 20 years ago. After starting as a teller at Brookfield Capitol, she worked in Consumer Loan Servicing, Boat and RV Funding, and Mortgage Servicing before taking on her current role.

“I’ve enjoyed all the different roles that I’ve had here, and my co-workers have been pretty great as well!” she says when asked what’s kept her at the bank. Nicole talked to Shorelines about her two decades with North Shore Bank. Read more!

Second annual ChalkFest offers colorful fun for families

Gorgeous images appeared on the ground beneath attendees’ feet, as North Shore Bank sponsored Green Bay’s ChalkFest chalk art festival at the Kroc Community Center on August 17.

The second annual event once again invited artists to create their work on the pavement while children and adults watched. Young people got to express their creativity in the Kid’s Chalk Zone, while visitors also enjoyed food, music, games, shopping, and a bounce house.

A few examples of the chalk artists’ work at the event.

“Partnering with the Kroc Center was a great way to be involved in the community and allowed families to come hang out and enjoy some fun at a free event,” Green Bay East universal banker Kari Tuyls said. “The weather was beautiful, we had a good crowd, and I enjoyed watching the artists draw — it’s amazing how talented they are.”

Kari represented the bank at ChalkFest, along with area branch manager Mickey Adams. “It was a great time to interact with the families,” Mickey said. “We had the opportunity to communicate with parents about some of the products and services we have to offer here at North Shore Bank and play some fun educational games with the kids.” •••

Northside staff take sunset cruise

Northside branch employees enjoyed an evening of teambuilding and fun last month, featuring dinner and then a sunset cruise on Lake Michigan, off the Racine lakefront.

“Having half the team being newer employees, this gave us a chance to spend time outside of the bank and laugh and unwind together,” branch manager Lisa Brooks said. “It also allowed the seasoned employees to celebrate an already amazing year for our branch. We could not have asked for better weather or had better company — and the sunset was spectacular.”

New Hires for September 5
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.

Union Grove personal banker Elise Chase is from Scottsdale, Arizona, and now lives in Bristol. She began her banking career at JPMorgan Chase Bank seven years ago, starting as a teller and working her way up to assistant branch manager and then associate banker. “This past weekend I was a driver in one of the demolition derbies at Walworth County Fair in Elkhorn; I brought out my bright pink demo car to smash up with all of the guys,” Elise says. “I love living out in the country where we can ride our four-wheelers and snowmobiles, build demo cars, and aren’t afraid of getting our hands dirty. Hoping to enter into at least three derbies next summer around Wisconsin.” •••
