Get your red outfits on to fight heart disease next Friday
February is American Heart Month, dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke across the country. The first Friday of the month is National Wear Red Day, an effort to raise awareness about how to prevent and cure cardiovascular disease.

Chances are, you know someone affected by heart disease or stroke, since cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of men and women. Show your support for the fight against heart disease by wearing red next Friday, February 7! And plan to send pictures of your teams wearing red to photos@northshorebank.com so they can be shared on social media and in Shorelines. •••

Teachers raise more than $18,000 at Dash for Cash

Teachers stormed the ice to grab cash at Ashwaubenon’s Resch Center.

North Shore Bank once again sponsored the annual Dash for Cash at the Green Bay Gamblers hockey game on January 18. Area teachers raced for and scooped up $12,500 between periods, for a total of over $18,000 for their schools after ticket sales were factored in as well.

“It is always fun to see the teachers dash and even more fun to count the money and get to know them,” district manager Kerri Collins emailed participating employees after the event. “I am always amazed to hear of all the different ways the money will be used. This year I learned what a sensory chair was and the need for these in area schools. We also had a second-grade teacher share that she would be using the money to purchase computer programs for two of her students battling cancer at Children’s Hospital.”

Employees who helped out at the event, along with Kerri, include Allouez universal banker Aubrey Abrahamson, area branch manager Mickey Adams, VP consumer lending manager Chris Boland, Green Bay East personal banker Brenda Gillespie, universal banker Desmond Jennings, Howard-Suamico assistant branch manager Emmeline Knight-Guzmán, Northland teller supervisor Patt Kox, Sturgeon Bay East universal banker Melody Langrick, teller supervisor Tara Neuville, teller Debra Price, and Green Bay East universal banker Kari Tuyls. •••
