Bank chooses four nonprofits to receive COVID aid grant funding

AACCW representative Tanya with senior vice president of consumer lending Mike Kellman.

This week, the bank announced that four Milwaukee-area nonprofits will each receive $5,000 to help them continue serving their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nonprofits are Legacy Redevelopment Corporation, African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin, United Community Center, and La Casa de Esperanza.

The money comes from a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Legacy Redevelopment and the AACCW will use the funds to help small-business customers, and the community center and La Casa de Esperanza will apply their funds to operational costs so that they can continue to help their communities.

The bank plans to sponsor future FHLB grants, as well.
