Northland team has fun with Gratitude Challenge questions

Here’s something cool: Northland personal banker Kelly Kading recently printed out all 30 questions from October’s Gratitude Challenge and shared them with the rest of the branch’s team.

“I thought it would be a fun morale booster for us to review this with all of the crazy news lately,” he explained. Branch manager Lacee Kalepp agreed and encouraged him to go for it.

Universal banker Kim Balser described the exercise — put together for Shorelines by AVP PMP Pat Ingelse — as “very positive-minded and fun.”

“It helped me to stop, take a breather, and think of all the things in my life that I am grateful for now and in my past,” Kim said. “Some good memories that I’d forgotten were brought back with many of the questions.”

“The questions made you think about things that are important to you past and present,” teller supervisor Patt Kox said. “We took the time to go through them and talk about things that have been and are important to us. It reinforced to me that I am grateful for all of the people I work with here.”

Personal banker Tisha Kucukaslan agreed with those sentiments.

“It was really fun to talk over the questions as a group, because we learned different things about each other that were both work- and non-work-related,” she said. “We talked about ‘skills you are grateful for’ and ‘a lesson you are grateful for,’ and it was interesting to hear about the things that families and teachers taught us that we carry over into our professional lives.”

She added: “We are a very food-motivated team, so it was also fun to talk about foods we really love, desserts, and favorite flavors.”
