It’s baaaaaack: Zoo Boo promises spooky fun for Green Bay families

Brace yourselves for spooky family fun as the North Shore Bank Zoo Boo returns to Green Bay’s NEW Zoo & Adventure Park for the next three weekends.

The annual event takes place Fridays and Saturdays from 3 to 8 p.m. Dates are October 8 and 9, 15 and 16, and 22 and 23.

To promote safety and social distancing, this year’s Zoo Boo will feature timed entries. Guests must purchase advance tickets online for a specific date and time, and then must arrive during a set 60- or 90-minute window. Once they’ve entered, guests can stay at the zoo as long as they like! Masks are required for certain activities, such as the giraffe and penguin feeding experiences.

Tickets are $15 per person; kids under 3 get in free. As always, NEW Zoo Pass Members will receive one free ticket per membership on arrival when they check in to the membership tent.

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes for this Halloween event, and everybody over the age of 1 will get a bag of candy — even grown-ups. Besides all the decorations and the free Happy Haunted Maze in the Children’s Zoo, attendees can buy tickets to ride the carousel and venture into the Haunted Zoo Zone if they’re not too scared.

One lucky person who enters our Zoo Boo Giveaway will win a yearlong NEW Zoo Family Plus Membership, as well as an upgraded Wild Encounter that gives them the chance to hang out with giraffes, penguins or Aldabra tortoises. This prize is valued at $200 — tell your relatives, friends, and customers!

Adventure Park tours will also be open during their regular hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and Zoo Boo attendees will need to purchase separate advance tickets if they want to reserve a spot. The zoo will close at 2 p.m. on Zoo Boo dates so staff can prepare for the event. Happy haunting!
