Sister Bay part-time CSR Becky Redling, one of our newest sponsors, eased into her role with a returning employee. Becky became a sponsor in May, a year and 10 months after she joined North Shore Bank, and her first trainee was Gail Savage.

“Gail was with North Shore several years ago,” Becky says, “and she remembered a lot of the basics. She was a quick learner.”

Becky’s interest in sponsoring came at the urging of then-Sister Bay Branch Manager Amy DeMain. (Amy now is a mortgage loan originator at Sturgeon Bay East.)

“Becky was a take-charge, driven staff member right from the start,” Amy says. “She always wants to learn more, do more and grow. She is confident and competent with customers, handling every situation with knowledge and professionalism.”

Amy also noticed how comfortable Becky was in a sales role. “She has the ability to refer and to comfortably talk about products and services. She’s a great role model,” she adds.

Part of Becky’s confidence comes from experience. “I worked for four banks before I came to North Shore,” she says, which helped her become familiar with teller duties, bookkeeping, loans, and everything in between.

“Although Becky is one of our newest sponsors, her thoughtful and natural ability to make our new hires feel comfortable is very evident in her work with our newest employee to Sister Bay,” says VP-District Manager Tricia Cravillion. “Becky is doing a fantastic job!”

Becky says that sponsoring has helped her to become a stronger CSR and leader, goals she wants to help others reach. “I want every new person to be the best they can be,” she says.
