Training Specialist Jan Born weighs in with an easy way to insert a little more activity into your day:
We at North Shore are focused on healthy well-being. My simple tip is to not look for the closest parking spot, but instead one far from the office. In doing so, we’ll get that extra exercise without any extra time or thought.
And Sussex Branch Manager Candy Walecki closes out our collection of work-improvement tips with some wise counsel that can help you make the most of the day ahead:
I have found that reading a book with a nightlight in a dark room helps me unwind from the busy day, so I can have a restful night’s sleep. I purchase discounted books from the Sussex library as a donation, and when I finish them, I donate them back to the library for resale. I could purchase a Nook or Kindle, but I would rather make a donation and give back to the community. This is why parents read to young children — to help them unwind! It works for adults as well.
