Three more employees share their holiday traditions and memories this week. Howard Branch Manager Sharon Hack kicks things off with a delicious thought:
Our tradition is, every Christmas Eve we head to church for an early service. After that, we go to my sister’s house and do a three-course fondue meal. We start with the fondue cheese for veggies and fruit, then beef broth for dipping meats and seafood, and then of course chocolate for dipping desserts. We dip bananas, pound cake or Rice Krispie bars. It’s very relaxing, and in between courses we exchange gifts. It’s one of a few things I know I can expect to enjoy during the stressful holiday season.
And Milwaukee Capitol Branch Manager Carol Herrmann remembers a favorite gift:
One of my favorite Christmas mornings was the year my two sisters and I received little red dump trucks. We spent Christmas vacation “transporting” fallen pine needles from around the tree to the kitchen garbage can. Our mother was ahead of her time — she didn’t limit her daughters to “girlie gifts,” and taught us to believe in our endless potential to achieve all possibilities!
While Howard CSR Brittany Dahlke focuses on what’s really important:
One thing I always, always look forward to during the holidays is spending time with my family. As simple as that sounds, I say this because each member of my family lives in a different city. So whenever our whole family is going to be in one place at one time, it is something I really look forward to. There are no real “traditions” our family carries through the years, but there is just nothing like being with your family during the holidays.

You weren’t the only girl to get trucks. I still have my Tonka dump truck, pick-up truck and the very best toy, the green steam shovel.
