North Shore Bank is working with Interra Health to provide all employees with the opportunity to participate in free health screenings and online health risk assessments. 2012 was our first year using Interra. While only 55 percent of our employees participated in the screenings, nearly 95 percent of those on our medical plans did so. Our goal for 2013 is for at least 80 percent of ALL employees to participate in these health screenings when we offer them again in the fall.

Below is our report card for those who participated. I’m not certain we can say there are any surprises here. Our top five health risks are all related to weight management. While our overall screen score is a respectable 797 out of 1,000, the true measure will be our year-over-year scores, which will show us if we are working toward better management of our health.
