Each and every one of North Shore Bank’s employees brings great skill to their respective roles and responsibilities, but it is the personal character and teamwork exhibited on a daily basis that truly define our success as a team, especially in times of pressure. In one recent pressure-cooker situation, several North Shore employees formed a team to achieve significant results for the greater good of our organization and the customers we serve.
With the acquisition of Bank of Kenosha, it was necessary to perform significant, time-sensitive maintenance on 2,000 deposit accounts. When our team found there was no automated way of doing the transactions, Operations Assistant Manager Cindy Hundt volunteered to take her team members Kim Konieczny and Kelly LaBonte to Bank of Kenosha to help complete the transactions manually.
On Friday, June 7, with the assistance of VP of Information Systems Dana Scherff in setting up PCs, as well as training from Bank of Kenosha’s Dineen Johnston, they finished all but a few hundred of the accounts. Those remaining accounts were completed on Saturday by the Bank of Kenosha deposit team, along with DM Lauri Lunde. Some of the savings maintenance required five different fields, resulting in a huge manual task. This incredible team performed all the transactions with no errors.
When Cindy was asked why she volunteered to take time out of her team’s busy day to address the urgent situation, she casually answered, “This is what we do. Together everyone achieves more.”
Cindy could not have said it better. When people commit their time, abilities and skills to work collaboratively to achieve a common goal, the result is greater than the efforts of a single person. These North Shore Bank employees demonstrated great acts of skill and character, embodying so many attributes of a truly effective T.E.A.M. They had a unified commitment to achieving a clearly communicated goal; each member contributed their unique skills in a collaborative, results-driven structure; and everyone committed to a standard of excellence. Together Everyone Achieved More.
Thank you to Cindy and her North Shore team members for their tremendous dedication, hard work and accomplishments. They are a shining example of what it means to be a team.
This doesn’t surprise me. It’s the same commitment to customer service and teamwork that Cindy Hundt impressed on me as my Branch Manager many years ago. She’s always been a great example and deserves the recognition.
Well deserved recognition for all those involved! And what an impression they must have made on the former Bank of Kenosha employees regarding the type and calibre of their new coworkers!
That is what I call teamwork. Way to pull it together for our new customers and show we have the means to take on such tasks. Great job everyone!
Cindy, you did an OUTSTANDING job leading the efforts to complete this initiative. Even though “this is what we do”, you did a great job organizing what needed to be done, working through the challenges that came up, and perfomring the necessary audit once the work was completed. Thank you.
Also thanks to all the other folks that worked on this initiative and helped make this happen.
