“I read these books in middle school and high school. They are an easy reading level, but the content deals with a very harsh reality. I think there is a lesson in these books about just how bad some people may have it. The story is about a boy who was abused by his mother. I don’t want to give it away, but you will not believe some of the things this lady did to her child. These books are based on the author’s own true story, and the life he was forced to live.”
