Westgate branch shows heart, gathers donations to help the homeless

The Westgate branch – Jeshon Alexander, personal banker, Danielle Kuhnwald, teller, Julie Goebel, branch manager, Kathy Couture, lead teller, and Ermalinda Schroeder, video teller (front left) – helps out the homeless with care packages.

The Westgate branch in Racine went above and beyond in collecting health-care items for the homeless! The team set a goal to create 50 care packages, but ended up with enough donations to make 75.

Care packages include items like socks (the most requested item), washcloths, soap, nail clippers, razors, and other toiletries.

Branch Manager Julie Goebel said the branch does a few collections each year for the homeless. The items will be dropped off at Halo Inc., Hospitality Center, and Street Angels.

The Westgate branch is already moving on to its next community-focused challenge — collecting school supplies!

Way to go, Westgate branch!

BANK ON KINDNESS

Get ready for a paw-some time at Dog Days

Calling all dog lovers! Dog Days at Drexel will be held this weekend in Oak Creek.

The fun lineup includes:

  • agility demonstrations
  • lure courses and flyball demos
  • pet massages
  • an adorable puppy costume parade
  • vendors with dog-related products
  • a caricature artist to capture your pup’s personality

Our bank team members will spread kindness by giving away free goodies from Baggies Beggies and snapping “Be Kind” Polaroid pictures of people and their pets. Dog Days at Drexel will take place Friday evening from 5 to 9 and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 361 W. Town Square Way, Oak Creek.

We have a special mission to help two of Rescue Gang’s dogs find their forever homes. These pups have been waiting the longest to be adopted, and we’re donating $150 toward their adoption fees. 01113

Branch Manager Heather Somers is looking forward to it. “We are doing this as a random act of kindness for the Oak Creek community,” she said.

Don’t miss out! Hope to see you at Dog Days.

MARKETING FOR YOU

New MCIF helps us better understand, communicate with our customers

Our new Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) introduces several upgrades that will revolutionize our customer connections. Nate Dekker, data analytics & reporting manager, emphasized that the new MCIF, a customer and account information database used to create customer households, will now update daily instead of monthly. This real-time update capability is a game-changer, enabling the bank to monitor customer behavior and initiate communications much more quickly.

Households are the basis of customer communication, analyzing marketing campaign results, and tracking relationships over time.

Here’s an example of how the new MCIF will help: If a customer visits the First Time Homebuyer page on northshorebank.com, we can quickly communicate with them to help them move forward and share how we can assist.

“We’re able to send an email to that customer within 24 hours that talks about the home-buying process and provides the name and contact information of the mortgage loan officer assigned to that customer’s branch,” Nate said.

Having this information accessible daily is a significant improvement. It helps us be even more responsive to our customers’ needs, and it should be useful to all!

Customer Loyalty Tip of the Week

If you are unable to provide the service your customer is requesting, tell them WHY first.
