EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

Thousands of dog lovers visit Wagfest in Brookfield on gorgeous weekend

Vice President, Commercial Lender Jim Ebben, Residential Processing Team Leader-CRA Heidi Becker, and Pewaukee Branch Manager Anne Kagerah at Wagfest.

A great North Shore Bank crew showed up to make Wagfest in Brookfield a huge success. Thousands of dog owners and people who love dogs came to the festival at Mitchell Park on Saturday.

“We were blessed to have beautiful weather for Wagfest! Thousands of dogs visited with their owners. It was a pleasure speaking to several customers and also meeting potential customers,” Cristen Baumann, Vice President and Community Engagement Manager, said.

She said the response from Wagfest attendees at the bank’s booth was fantastic. People appreciated the bank’s sponsorship of this event, which raises money for the Elmbrook Humane Society.

“One person shared, ‘I am going to tell everyone that my bank is in the community and supports animals finding homes,'” Cristen said. Many customers shared their love of the bank and gave shout-outs to the employees.

The stellar bank crew that worked the event included Cristen, Pewaukee Branch Manager Anne Kagerah; Training Specialist Ryan Melcarek; Residential Processing Team Leader-CRA Heidi Becker; Vice President, Commercial Lender Jim Ebben; Senior Loan Funding Representative Cathy Degner; and Community Loan Originator Diana Castillo.

Diana’s dog, Freddie the Pomsky, a 6-month-old Pomeranian and Siberian Husky mix, proudly wore his North Shore Bank T-shirt!

Great job, North Shore team!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Work of local artists showcased on Covered Bridge Studio Art Tour

Having a gallery on the Grafton Branch site provides a fun opportunity for the branch to support local artists in the community, like Joan Hollnagel. Joan’s work is currently on display in the Stone House Gallery, although it will move to a different location for the art tour.

If you love art and fall colors, you won’t want to miss the Covered Bridge Studio Art Tour, sponsored by North Shore Bank, Oct. 11-13. One of the locations featured on the tour will be the Grafton Branch’s Stone House Gallery, the preserved original home located on the site when the branch was built 15 years ago. The gallery at 2301 Wisconsin Ave. features a local artist each month.

For the Covered Bridge Studio Art Tour, art enthusiasts will enjoy a lovely autumn drive past the farm fields and pumpkin patches of Ozaukee and Washington counties as they travel between galleries and other locations to take in the local art. A historic wooden covered bridge is included in the tour!

Branch Manager Bridget Sobocinski said the tour is a fun annual event the bank sponsors with the Cedarburg Artists Guild. There are 46 locations to visit, with 19 within walking distance in downtown Cedarburg. Fold-out maps of all locations are available so that visitors can plan their stops over the three-day event.

During the month of October and the tour, the Stone House Gallery will feature a few pieces from Renee Schreiner, who will also display her work at stop 2 on the tour in Port Washington.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with the branch open Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Bridget isn’t in immediate need of help at the event, but anyone interested in participating can contact her via email or Jabber. She will look for opportunities for people to help or place them on a backup list.

PROMOTIONS AND CONTESTS

Hitting the right note: Ackeret is a winner in Elan Financial Services sweepstakes

Sussex Branch Manager Shannon Quinn with Personal Banker Alex Ackeret, who won fifth place in the recent Elan Financial Services sweepstakes.

Sussex Personal Banker Alex Ackeret will be enjoying a high-quality sound experience thanks to a recent win in the Elan Financial Services sweepstakes. Alex was selected from among thousands of employees at hundreds of banks to win a set of Bose wireless earbuds. He was the only North Shore Bank employee to win a prize.

Elan Financial Services, our credit card partner, runs sweepstakes periodically for employees of their partner banks across the country who help customers take advantage of a new credit card. The top prizes are often exciting trips or extensive shopping sprees; this year’s top prize was a trip to an NFL game in London! Alex’s prize was a fifth-place win.

Craig Witz, Vice President, Branch Sales, wants North Shore Bank employees to know that participation in these sweepstakes isn’t limited to branch employees. Any employee of the bank can have Elan login credentials with access to QR codes or texts they can share with family or friends who want to self-apply for a credit card. Don’t miss your chance to win next time!

Elan also has special offers for employees of the bank, and cards to meet every need, Craig said. Contact a branch employee to learn more!

Congratulations to Alex!

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

Customers express gratitude with flowers, treats, glowing feedback cards

Customers Michael and Cindy Glapinski recently dropped off treats and flowers for the staff at the Muskego branch to thank them for their kindness and assistance after Michael’s father passed away.

The team also helped Michael set up a new account.

“They were praising the Muskego branch for always being willing to help and giving excellent customer service,” Personal Banker Sara Speich said. 00825

We also recently received this glowing comment card! The card calls North Shore Bank “one of the few places with real customer service. Outstanding!”

And another one! This one says, “The employees on 3315 80th St. in Kenosha (Kenosha South Branch) were great!”
