We asked you to share your goals for 2013 and thoughts about goal-setting, and you did! Here’s what we heard:
I’m about a month into my new position as a CSR at our Sussex branch. My goal is to achieve more referrals and mentions than required, by actively seeking out my customers’ needs. To reach this goal, I will do my best to build relationships with each of my customers and actively view their profiles to see what additional needs they may have.
—Kelly Jo Gabrus, CSR, Sussex
A goal-setting technique I use is basic prioritizing. I take a look into the things I need to get done more quickly on my to-do list. I know I can be a procrastinator at times, so since I know this about myself, I just make myself do what I need to get done with no excuses. I find that I get more frustrated with myself when I let something go unfinished, compared with when I just dive in and get it done.
—Brittany Dahlke, CSR, Howard
Let’s call it “improve my health and wellness”!
—Priscilla Hartling, Commercial Loan Specialist
My goal in the new year is to continue the journey I began in 2012 of being healthier and losing weight. I also have a goal to overcome my fear of heights and zip-line through the rainforest during my upcoming trip to Costa Rica.
—Lisa Brooks, Branch Manager, Union Grove
And Training Specialist Jan Born offers a good reminder:
Set SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Bounded.
Thanks for sharing, everyone! Good luck — we know you can do it.
