Summer plans: Running, camping, chilling

Summer is nearly (and finally) here. We asked Shorelines readers to share their favorite activities for the season.

Brian Gold, Vice President of Commercial Banking, says: “Other than the staples of golf and tailgating at and going to Brewers games, I am most looking forward to taking my little girl along with me when I run.” Her name is Grace, and she’s almost a year old. “In a running stroller, of course.”

“When I think of summer fun, immediately my mind goes to memories in Door County,” says Training Specialist Jan Born. “Our family and friends enjoy our campground there, where we spend a relaxing time roasting marshmallows over the campfire, bobbing in the waterpark pools, walks through the woods and just enjoying all the beauty of nature.  Time passes at a different, slower pace there — and, in fact, we call it ‘Door County time.'”

And Sussex Teller Kelly Jo Gabrus offers an invitation: “I’m a simple girl. I am looking forward to having friends, family and neighbors over for cookouts. It is nice to get together and just chill in the sun. Maybe some yard games and some hot tubing, too. If you are ever in the Sussex area and want to kick back and relax with a hot dog, give me a call!”
