Here’s our last round of bank employees’ favorite summer memories and traditions:
Says Regency Branch Manager Jenny Meyer: “My favorite summer activity is going to festivals. It’s a great way to spend time as a family, and cost-effective as well. I always take the kids early in the afternoon, before it gets too crowded; children under 12 are usually free. If I can, I also get in on ‘canned food’ days, when bringing cans of food gets you discounts on admission. It saves our family money and teaches my children about donating to good causes. Most of the festivals are child-friendly and have projects for the kids that we can take home. I can teach them about other cultures and expand their horizons, all while they are getting outside in the fresh air and having a great time. They’ve already been asking when some of their favorite festivals are and if we get to go again!”
“My favorite activity in the summer is walking around the park and just enjoying nature,” says Mailroom Messenger Raven Wilson. “On some other occasions during the nice hot summer, I like to go swimming at big water parks, where I can enjoy some waterslides as well.”
And Muskego Teller Sara Speich says, “My favorite summer time activity is to go to Lannon Quarry at Menomonee Park. The water is so clear that you can see the fish swimming, and it is also very refreshing. It is also a great place to swim because there is a shallow area for the children and a deeper end that drops down to about 23 feet. The atmosphere is really relaxing, and I love meeting lots of new people. Every time I go, I meet new friends and have a great time. If you are looking for a great family day, check it out!”
Thanks for sharing all your summer fun, everyone! We’ll have a new contest next week.
