Branches take stand against crime at National Night Out

Latia Clifton learned how to put out fires at the Brookfield event, using a real hose and water to quench plastic flames endangering a pretend house. "She eyed that demonstration all night and couldn’t wait until the line of kids finally was short enough to jump in," Margie Brusa says. "The Brookfield firefighters were happy to teach her!"

Our Brookfield Capitol, Brookfield Square and Franklin branches took part in National Night Out in early August, a 29-year-old nationwide crime-prevention event.

The events featured games and entertainment that centered on safety and crime prevention. There were food, giveaways and activities especially for kids.
