On Friday, May 9, North Shore Bank’s Corporate office and the Brookfield Square branch will hold a baby shower to benefit Safe Babies Healthy Families of Waukesha. Safe Babies Healthy Families’ mission is to give children safe and healthy lives by offering and improving their education, support, and resources and breaking destructive cycles that can last for generations. The nonprofit’s marketing director, Barb Butler, is a customer of our Sussex branch and has been featured in North Shore Bank advertisements.

At 2 p.m., employees are invited to the lunchroom for cookies and milk, as well as fun games and prizes. You can purchase scratch-off tickets for $5; the grand prize will be a PTO day off. There will also be a “Baby Scramble” game and a “Guess the Baby Item” game with fun prizes awarded.

It will also be a Casual Day for employees who choose to participate. To participate in Casual Day, you need to donate $5 or one of the following items for Safe Babies Healthy Families:

• Diapers size 4, 5 or 6
• Baby wipes
• Bottles
• Formula
• Activity books that include numbers, letters, and connect-the-dots for ages from preschool to 4-K
• Safety items: baby gates, safety locks for cupboards and doorknobs, outlet plug covers, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors, flashlights, and batteries for these items
