Retirement: Ruthie McDowell would still be here if she could
“I loved my job, and I loved the people I worked with,” says our Milwaukee Capitol branch’s former Personal Banker, who retired a few weeks ago after an autoimmune disorder called ANCA vasculitis made it too hard to continue working. “Some of my customers I have known from birth. I’ve gone to their weddings. I’ve gone to their parents’ funerals. I’ll miss my coworkers, but I’ll miss the customers even more.” Read more here.

Milestones

McHenry ABMS Sue Tagatz is thrilled to announce the birth of her grandson John a few weeks ago. "‘Jack’ weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21 inches long," she says. "I always heard being a grandparent was the best thing, and it is so true. I have a new man in my life I am in love with!" Congratulations to you and your family, Sue!

Service Anniversaries This Week
“Over the years, I’ve been extremely appreciative of North Shore Bank’s flexibility,” says Assistant Controller Heather Stevlingson, who marks 15 years with the bank on June 21. “It has enabled a work/family life balance that is very important to me, and that would otherwise be difficult. For me, this flexibility fosters commitment, loyalty, and productivity. I’m thankful for my time here at North Shore Bank, and for all the good people I get to work with.”

Kudos
VP Chris Boland received this email on Monday:

“My name is Gina and I have been working with [MLO] Sherry Leanna on my refinance. I just wanted to let you know that she was a pleasure to work with and I was very impressed with her great customer service. She always, responded quickly to either emails or phone calls. It is a great quality to have and one that is becoming harder and harder to find. Always answered all of our questions, and was all around helpful and made our refinance a great experience. I would be more than happy to recommend anyone I know to go through North Shore for mortgages or refinances after my experience with Sherry.”
