Our Oak Creek branch celebrated its 10th anniversary on Sep 13 with an event that featured food, a petting zoo, face painting, a martial arts demonstration, and prizes.
“It was great,” said Branch Manager Senka Shkreli. “Customers and noncustomers showed up. We opened one savings account, and other people inquired about our checking accounts and other services we offer. The petting zoo was great, and the kids who came also enjoyed the face painting.”
About 100 people showed up for the celebration. Cho’s Martial Arts put on the tae kwon do demonstration, 102.9 The Hog broadcasted live from the bank’s parking lot, and neighboring taco spot El Fogon put out food sample platters and gave the bank three gift certificates to hand out as prizes.
Among the prizewinners was a noncustomer who left with a $250 gift card. He reported being unhappy with his bank because it had recently switched its debit card issuer to Discover, which has prevented him from using the card at some businesses.
Oak Creek employees Rebecca Dougherty, Marie Hamilton, Yami Lopez, Todd Mahutga, Lisa Peterson, and Emily Santiago, helped out, along with Southwest Branch Manager (and former Oak Creek Branch Manager) Joline Hendren and DM Janet Dexter.
