Around the Bank
• No surprise, but the North Region scored consistently high marks on a SOAR survey of internal customers. Kerri Collins has the scoop.
• Northland sponsored the Walk for Suicide Awareness in Kaukauna a couple weeks ago. “It was great to help shed some light on an organization that is trying to save lives,” says ABMS Krissy Bowe.
• Over in tropical Racine, the family luau at Northside drew quite a nice crowd.
• And the Green Bay Press-Gazette did a nice story about the new drive-up ATM/video teller machine at Howard, with some quotes from SVP Sue Doyle.
Announcements
Our bankwide flag collection begins next week. The public can drop off worn, tattered American flags at any of our offices between Monday and Oct 25, and we will ensure the flags are properly retired in Veterans Day ceremonies next month. More details here.

Service Anniversaries
You can congratulate your coworkers on their anniversaries in the comments.
“It really does not feel like 15 years,” Green Bay West and Howard Branch Manager Sharon Hack says of her anniversary with the bank this week. “I have worked at three branches over the last 15 years, and each one gave me a sense of renewal and a fresh start. My favorite part of the job is working with the great staffs and all the different personalities. I love, love, love my customers, and that makes the time pass very quickly. I also like the ever-changing variety of tasks throughout the years.”
North Shore Shape Up
• New cholesterol guidelines. Late last year, the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology released a new set of guidelines for determining one’s risk for cholesterol-related health problems. These new guidelines made headlines because, under them, more than 12 million additional Americans now meet the criteria to be placed on cholesterol-lowering medication. To learn more about the guidelines and whether they affect you, you can read this PDF from Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin.
• Curves membership discount. And North Shore Bank now has a partnership with Curves women’s fitness centers. Download this voucher and bring it in, and you can become a Curves member for the discounted service fee of $19 — plus, you’ll get one week free. Curves has locations in Appleton, Brookfield, Franklin, Green Bay, Mequon, Milwaukee, Muskego, Oak Creek, Racine, Shorewood, Sussex, Wauwatosa, and West Allis, among other places.
