Spotlight: Cindy Hundt retires Oct 31

Cindy Hundt has thrived on the endless changes in banking. “When the dreaded glitches emerged in the aftermath, Cindy would dig in,” she jokes. “I loved trying to figure out the pieces of the puzzle that didn’t always come through the conversion smoothly.” Join her close friends Jude Lengell, Lyneen Fischer, and Colleen Egan in wishing her a happy retirement!

Karen Jach, April Stevenson, and Kenda Vedvick from Pulaski helped out at the Zoo Boo at the NEW Zoo in Green Bay earlier this month. The last nights of the event are this Friday and Saturday from 3 to 8pm.

Around the Bank

• Our National Breast Cancer Awareness Month efforts continue! Read about this past Monday’s bake sale and raffle at Corporate and see Pink Day photos from Allouez, Ashwaubenon, Burlington, Green Bay East, Information Technology, Loan Operations, Pulaski, and Sussex.
• The Surface, a feature film starring our Fox Point branch (and actor Sean Astin, too) premiered on Oct 9 at the Milwaukee Film Festival, and Kate Knox was there and has a full report. It’s pretty cool.
• Green Bay East helped out at Preble High School’s first-ever Anti-Bullying 5K Run, Walk & Roll. The branch also presented the school with a $1,000 check last month, thanks to our fundraiser after the building’s gym was damaged by fire.
• TOMORROW is the last day to submit your favorite Halloween photos. You’ll get a treat for submitting them, as well as a shot at a $25 gas card.

Announcements

• Our worn flag collection ends Oct 25. Until then, the public can drop off tattered American flags at any of our branches, and we will ensure the flags are properly retired in Veterans Day ceremonies next month.

Service Anniversaries

You can congratulate your coworkers on their anniversaries in the comments.

“The 10 years has gone by pretty fast!” says Pewaukee Teller Supervisor Jane Ramage. “I’ve seen a lot of changes over that time in the banking business! I’ve also learned a LOT over that time period! I love my customers — they are so sweet and ask how things are going with me, and also bring in treats for our branch, such as flowers from their garden, candy, and homemade cookies, fudge, breads, etc.!”

North Shore Shape Up

• Do you wish you cooked more at home but aren’t always sure which ingredients you should have on hand? The Washington Post ran a story earlier this month by Casey Seidenberg, cofounder of education company Nourish Schools, listing everything that belongs in a well-stocked pantry. The link is worth visiting, because it includes a slideshow of healthy recipes, but if you can’t access it from work, you can download this PDF listing all the ingredients Seidenberg recommends.

• Remember: Our “Walktober” challenge is still on. Walk for 30 minutes outside (or complete 30 minutes of some other form of exercise), mark it on your activity sheet, and send the completed sheet to Molly Schissler at mschissler@northshorebank.com by Nov 4 for a chance to win a Sports Authority gift card.
