By Jay McKenna, President and COO
I would like to personally congratulate Dennis Christoffel, vice president of Investment Program Services, on his retirement. Dennis is retiring from his position on May 1 after almost 36 years of managing North Shore Bank’s Deferred Compensation department.
Dennis joined the bank in 1979 to develop our Deferred Compensation program, which offers 457(b) retirement plans for governmental and certain nongovernmental employers and their employees. Under Dennis’s guidance, the department has grown to $125 million in deposits and funds. He and his team serve 118 municipalities. This is no small achievement. It is his dedication, personalized service, and attention to the needs of our clients that have made all the difference. We are grateful for his contributions to the bank’s success.
Dennis’s insight and knowledge of the services available to our Deferred Compensation clients were second to none. His quick wit and sense of humor will surely be missed. As many of you know, anytime you spoke with Dennis, he was ready with a joke or funny story. His gift for telling a tale put people at ease and made working with him a delight. We wish him much happiness in his retirement. I know he and his wife, Patti, are looking forward to spending time with family, especially his mother and father, their daughter in Neenah, and their son in the mountains of Montana.
I am happy to announce the promotion of Becky Reinhardt to retirement program manager. Becky has been with the bank for almost 13 years and has held many positions, from personal banker to branch manager to small business relationship manager. She has been instrumental in establishing strong business relationships by delivering tailored programs to our clients. This exceptional attention to meeting their needs is a skill that will carry over nicely in Becky’s new role. We are confident she will do a terrific job of preserving our client relationships.
Please join me in congratulating Becky on her new position with the bank, and in wishing Dennis the very best as he ends his time at North Shore and begins his retirement.
