Our weeklong drive to raise money for the United Performing Arts Fund raised a total of $5,812, easily surpassing our goal of $3,909, thanks to your generosity.

We kicked things off on Apr 20 with a pancake breakfast at Corporate, followed by a carnival and chili cook-off on Apr 22, and an ice cream social and thank-you party on Apr 24. As we reported last week, Senior Deposit Operations Specialist Janet Russell won the cook-off, and you can check out her victorious (and spicy!) recipe here. Other cook-off participants were VP and Security Payments Manager Lyneen Fischer, Payroll Manager Cindy Lohrey, Corporate Receptionist Nancy Hanson, Mailroom Assistant Colleen Moore, and Product Analyst Kinnon Schreiber.

Senior Commercial Loan Specialist Priscilla Hartling won the grand prize in the carnival’s spin-the-wheel game. She’ll get two tickets to a UPAF show of her choice.

And more than 50 cyclists will represent North Shore Bank in the UPAF Ride for the Arts on May 31. You can still sign up to participate, as either a rider or a volunteer. If you need to complete an activity to qualify for your wellness incentive, biking in the ride will count toward that goal. You can find more information about the ride here. If you’d like to volunteer, go to upafride.org and click the “Volunteer” tab.

Besides supporting more than 30 arts groups in and around Milwaukee, UPAF also supports arts education programming in area schools, which has faced serious cuts in recent years. You can find out more about UPAF at upaf.org. If you’d still like to donate to UPAF, go to https://eg.upaf.org/eg/nsb2015. Your North Shore Bank email address serves as both the login and password.

Many thanks to the Corporate Community Outreach Committee for their help organizing the UPAF drive events, to the Deposit Services and Retirement Services teams for providing toppings for the ice cream social, and to all of you who donated your time or money.
