Mary Blazer leaving Sister Bay branch — but not the lovely Door Peninsula

Five years ago, Mary Blazer saw a part-time teller opening at North Shore Bank’s Sister Bay branch in a local newspaper. “It has been wonderful — a position with pleasant working conditions, pleasant coworkers,” Mary says as she prepares to retire. She has appreciated the flexible hours and benefits that came with her 20-hour-a-week position. Read more here about her plans and how much her colleagues will miss her.

Around the Bank

Pulaski open house: “We served 135 people and ran out of food because we had such an amazing attendance,” says Branch Manager Mistine Thomson of the picnic event that took place July 17. “It went great!” Karen Jach, Jenna Kalies, Nikki Olson, April Stevenson, and Jasmine Trinh helped out.

Service Anniversaries

You can congratulate your coworkers on their anniversaries in the comments.

“The past 10 years have been a wonderful experience,” says Financial Advisor Jeff Eichel, “with my supervisor, Erika Milosevich, giving me the latitude to grow and develop my business. Here’s to another great 10 years!”

“I have really enjoyed working for North Shore Bank over the past 5 years, especially the great staff I have had the opportunity to work with,” says Brookfield Square Teller Donna Lubnow. “I have also enjoyed training new tellers and watching them move on and up to other positions in the bank.”

And Michael Foley, VP, Business Banking, marks 5 years with North Shore Bank this week as well.

Kudos

We have a number of great comments this week from our customers. Thanks for making this the Bank of You!

Carmen Maurer was the young lady who took care of me at the drive-thru window. She is one of the big reasons I bank at North Shore. She always greets me by name, with a smile, and I always know I can rely on her and trust her to do everything in a quick, courteous, and professional manner. She is TOPS in my book. Having said that, you currently have a staff at the Brookfield Capitol branch that absolutely NO ONE can compare with — from the branch manager, Maria Baumer, on down the line. These gals are ALL fantastic. Maria obviously hires and trains her people to do business the ‘right’ way. I have encouraged many of my friends to start banking with North Shore. Keep up the good work.”

“The friendliness, knowledge, and genuine professionalism of the Sussex branch are greatly appreciated. Always a welcome and a ‘How can I be of service?’ greeting. They put their customers first, even offering coffee and an occasional cookie. Kelly Jo Gabrus is great, and of course Candy Walecki. Always a ‘Hi!’ and they are ready to suggest different options to me, for better banking with North Shore. (Actually, all the tellers are great.) I would also like to recognize Stephanie Glowinski-Moeller for her expert knowledge on home mortgages and her assistance in obtaining financing for our new home. North Shore can be proud of the professionals who work at the Sussex branch. This why we have been longtime clients.”

“My computers were stolen with all of my mortgage, banking, credit, and military records on the hard drives. The safety precautions that North Shore advised me to take worked; my credit and identity were not compromised.”

North Shore Shape Up

Aromatherapy works: Writing for the Mayo Clinic, RN Sheryl Ness notes that studies on aromatherapy have found that it can decrease stress and anxiety and improve one’s mood. The essential plant oils used in aromatherapy can be inhaled or applied to the skin. If you’re feeling overwhelmed lately, it may be worth seeing if adding the right scents to your life can help you feel better!
