Allouez branch manager Mickey Adams and teller Olivia Vechart took part in the worn flag retirement ceremony held by American military veterans in Green Bay on November 8.

“We enjoyed spending time with the veterans and all the stories they shared with us,” Mickey said. “We all worked together preparing the flags for burning by folding and then placing them on an iron pole, which was then placed in the burn bin.”

Mickey also presented Old Glory Honor Flight with $1,500. This year’s flag collection was North Shore Bank’s 15th such effort, and in honor of that anniversary, we donated $1 per flag dropped off, up to the $1,500 total.
