North Shore Bank and Concordia University Wisconsin held a series of three Money Smart financial seminars this fall. “We were very happy with the turnout from our first seminar, with a dozen students, and were even more surprised when we had 20 students turn out for the second!” said Grafton branch manager Jon Coleman. The final seminar was Tuesday.

Grafton universal banker Tori Remstad led the second seminar on November 15, whose focus was budgeting and saving.

“The students have been very engaged in the presentations,” Jon said. “The biggest surprise we’ve had — other than the great turnout! — has been how much interest the students have taken in investing. It is clear there is value to spending a session on investing, given the surprising level of interest among the students.”

Jon also thanked marketing communications manager Kate Knox and marketing coordinator Mary Ott for their help putting together the seminars.
