Corporate marks winter holidays with Seussical celebration

Employees lined up to get at the treats once they arrived in “Whoville.”

Corporate employees celebrated the winter holidays last week with a How the Grinch Stole Christmas! theme. The Whoville Holiday Celebration featured food, fun, and plenty of giving.

Employees donated six large boxes of goods and $2,312 to the Milwaukee Women’s Center, a division of Community Advocates. The center offers help to women, men, and children affected by domestic violence, addiction, mental health issues, and poverty.

Marketing VP Kevin Wilderman and senior vice president Sue Doyle with Sue’s pup Eva, antlered up as the Grinch’s loyal companion Max.

Checking Services Rep Geneva Lacking, who talked to Shorelines in August about volunteering at the center, said afterward: “I just want to say thank you to everyone who contributed and gave this year. I know the women and children at the women’s center will be more than appreciative. I am really and truly thankful for all of you, and I know they will be, too.”

Underwriting’s Peggy Winchell, Gina Bontempo, and Melissa Wantuch, showing off the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who masks that dotted the room.

To thank Corporate employees for all of their successful fundraisers in 2016, there will be a jeans day next Friday, December 30. Remember that jeans should be work-suitable (no holes or torn, dirty, or ill-fitting jeans). You can also wear a Packers or Badgers shirt with your jeans in anticipation of their future wins.
