Green Bay West tailgates for Packers game
The Green Bay West branch held a tailgate party on Friday, January 20, to show their support for the Packers. Sadly, this will be the last of the Packers parties for the year, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers & Co. fell to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, 44-21. Here’s to next year! 🏈 •••
New Hires for January 26
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.
Pulaski personal banker Phillip Koebe is from Green Bay and previously managed a retail store. “I have a giant record collection,” he says. “I would say around 1,000. I have some rare ones like some T-Rex imports and a Yardbirds record that I found at a garage sale. I’m currently trying to get all my favorite CDs from the ’90s on vinyl. That is a chore.” Good luck, Phillip!
East teller Tianna Lee is a local and worked as a seamstress before joining North Shore Bank. “My favorite animal is the snail!” she says. Slow and steady is good — just as long as our customers get served quickly.
Pulaski teller Kathi Reinke was born in Chicago but has been a Wisconsinite since 1972. She and her husband have lived in the Pulaski area for 16 years. She was previously an inventory manager with Cabela’s. “I love to camp, read, etc.” Kathi says, adding: “If you’re not a friend of mine, you wouldn’t know that I’m considered quite the dancer.”
Video teller Artisha Williams is from Milwaukee. She is a student at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and previously worked in child care at the YMCA. “I’m a comedian at heart — but a shy one,” she says.
And video teller Mariella Zarb is originally from Malta, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. She moved to Appleton 15 years ago and then to Brookfield last year. She worked in banking in Malta and Appleton for a total of 26 years and then at Walgreens for the past year and a half. “One goofy thing about me is my passion for shoes,” Mariella says. “I go grocery shopping, but somehow always end up taking a detour and make it back home with a bag full of shoes and barely any groceries.” •••
North Shore Shape Up: Friendship is healthy
Want to lower your risk for heart disease, improve your chances of surviving breast cancer — and also just enjoy life more? Stay in touch with the people important to you, suggest the folks at Cleveland Clinic Wellness:
Staying socially connected can reduce your risk of heart disease and an early death, and if you’ve had breast cancer, it may alter the course of your disease in a very good way. In a large study of women with invasive breast cancer, those who had the most social ties had the lowest rates of recurrence and dying from the disease. Other research showed that the quality of relationships matters more than the quantity when it comes to breast cancer recurrence. One thing is clear: Like smoking or being sedentary, social isolation is harmful to health, which is why it’s important to be intentional about keeping up with friends and family.
So call a friend or loved one today! It’s good for you! •••
