North Shore Bank and the Green Bay Gamblers helped Green Bay–area schools raise $11,500 at the hockey team’s game on January 28, when local teachers took part in a fun, frenzied Dash for Cash.
Between periods, 28 teachers clad in North Shore Bank T-shirts raced to grab as much as they could of $7,500 in singles placed at center ice. With no time limit on the action, the educators got to pick up as many bills as they could manage.
Ticket sales raised another $4,000 for the schools. North Shore Bank has been the presenting sponsor of the Dash for Cash since 2008.
Participating schools included Ashwaubenon High School, Bay Port High School, Green Bay Preble High School, Green Bay West High School, Mishicot High School, West DePere High School, Wrightstown High School, Brillion Middle School, Kewaunee Middle School, Marinette Middle School, New London Middle School, Notre Dame of DePere Middle School, Brillion Elementary, Fairview/Sunnyside Elementary, Gegan Elementary, Howard Elementary, Kewaunee Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Meadowbrook Elementary, North Greenville Elementary, O.H. Schultz Elementary, Our Lady of Lourdes, St. John Lutheran, Suamico Elementary, Sunrise Elementary, Syble Hopp, Westside Elementary, and Westwood Elementary.
