Looking for some indoor activity while the weather is still chilly? Here’s a reminder that North Shore Bank employees can get member-for-a-day passes to the Milwaukee Public Museum.
Passes include admission for two adults and their children or grandchildren (under 17), or one adult and three guests. You can visit the museum’s planetarium and enjoy a member rate on special exhibits, as well as discounts on parking, theater tickets, shopping, and dining.
Here are a few of the things you can do at the museum:
- Tour the museum’s 150,000 square feet of exhibit space to visit Africa, Asia, Europe, the Arctic, South and Middle America, the Pacific Islands, and a Costa Rican rain forest.
- Take a step back in time to the turn-of-the-century “Streets of Old Milwaukee and European Village,” and to ancient Mediterranean civilizations.
- Or take a giant leap back more than 65 million years to “The Third Planet” to see the world’s largest-known dinosaur skull and a life-size replica of Tyrannosaurus rex.
- Stroll amid free-flying butterflies from around the world in the Puelicher Butterfly Wing.
- Check out wonders ranging from the Hebior Mammoth in the museum atrium to the hall of shells in the “Living Ocean” exhibit.
On March 3, a new special exhibit will open and run through July 9: ” Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture.” Pass holders get a discount on tickets and can explore how food is grown, how it reaches our markets and kitchens, how cooks and cultures create cuisines, and the role of food in ceremony and celebration. See cooking demonstrations, sample local delicacies, and even get in on the culinary fun in the working test kitchen. More details here.
Our museum passes expire on March 31, and supplies are limited, so request yours now! To do so, get in touch with corporate receptionist Nancy Hanson, at nhanson@northshorebank.com. If you’re planning a visit, here’s some helpful information.
