New Hires for August 17

It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.

Brookfield Square teller Calvin Cicona is from Delafield and previously worked for Waukesha State Bank. He shoots a traditional longbow and taught himself how to throw knives. “My father was an avid hunter, and I felt guns and compound bows were too easy; I seem to have a knack for making things harder for myself than they need to be,” Calvin says. “As to me learning how to throw knives: I saw The Hunger Games when I was in high school, and everyone wanted to learn how to shoot a bow. At that point, I had already learned to shoot a bow proficiently, so I decided throwing knives was the next best thing.”

Grafton teller Caroline Holzer is from Grafton and previously worked as a cashier at Whole Foods; she also attended school at MATC for animation. She says, “At one point, I was ranked 42nd in the world for Mario Kart. I’ve always played video games, and this happened a couple of years ago. I was sitting on the floor with my friends, and when the scores came out, I laughed so hard that I cried!”

Silver Spring teller Bryan Sotelo is from Greenfield and previously worked as a customer service representative at Pick ’n Save. He attends the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and will be a junior this year. Bryan notes, “I eat so much, and I don’t gain weight. I like bacon cheeseburgers and pizza a lot, and yes, people do get jealous of that!”

Mequon universal banker Douglas Tuhro is from upstate New York and previously worked for BMO Harris. He collects rare and antique books.
