Cristo Rey Jesuit High School recognized Suleima Sanchez-Herrejon, a student working in our Deposit Services area, as one of their Employees of the Month for October.
As you may recall, four students from Cristo Rey in Milwaukee joined our team this summer. The school’s unique work-study model allows these youth to earn a portion of their educational costs by working in entry-level positions in Milwaukee-area companies.
Each month, Cristo Rey recognizes students as Employees of the Month, based on input from their employers. Suleima’s supervisor, Natalie Canadeo, says: “Suleima possesses a great deal of poise and professionalism. We are impressed with her speed and accuracy when producing customer letters and updating records. She comes in ready to work and is always willing to take on more!”
In the email announcing the recognition, Cristo Rey explained:
The October Employee of the Month recognizes the students who embraced their status as new employees and used it as an opportunity to learn and grow in the work place. They fueled their productivity by asking inquisitive questions, taking diligent notes, accepting feedback, and consistently working with a positive energy. They did not hesitate to seek assistance and, when it was provided, they used it to the best of their ability to complete the task at hand. These students have developed positive relationships with their coworkers, have earned the trust of their supervisor, and can be expected to take on growing opportunities at their work placement.
Whether these students are working with others or independently, they never cease to take advantage of their own room for growth to improve themselves, their work environment, and the job they’re doing. They communicate well and are reliable employees.
Suleima is at the Corporate office on Wednesdays. If you see her, please congratulate her on her excellent work!
