Retiring Jeanine Wielepski grateful for chance to help
Jeanine Wielepski loves taking care of her customers. Looking back as she prepares to retire next Friday, the Brookfield Square employee says her favorite of all the changes that have taken place over her career was her promotion to personal banker — a title she still holds, 21 years later.

“I was a teller for one year and then got promoted,” she recalls. Since that time, she says, “I have met so many wonderful people, and to help them with their banking challenges is what I like to do best.” Read more about Jeanine’s career and her plans after retirement!

Gyles retiring after many e-banking achievements
We profiled electronic banking AVP Wendy Gyles, who retires next week, last month in honor of her 20th anniversary with North Shore Bank. So for her retirement, Shorelines asked Wendy if she would put together a short message for her colleagues.

North District branches SOAR with internal customers

Dogs help promote NSB at well-attended Wagfest

Wagfest attendees brought their canine companions by the North Shore Bank booth.

Elmbrook Humane Society’s 11th annual Wagfest fundraiser attracted around 5,000 humans — and a bunch of pups — to Mitchell Park in Brookfield on September 8. North Shore Bank was a sponsor of the event.

Community mortgage loan originator Amanda Watts brought her Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix rescue, Bonnie, out for the day. “She had fun walking around seeing all the vendors, smelling all the wonderful items they were selling or giving away,” Amanda says. “She had plenty of free dog treats, which she gobbled up. And what I thought was the cutest was that they had martinis for the dogs. I didn’t indulge in buying one for Bonnie, but the other dogs seemed to enjoy them.” Amanda also got a kick out of seeing dogs paint with their paws on canvas.

Damen the Husky accompanied his owner, community mortgage loan originator Diana Castillo, to Wagfest too. “He was wearing his North Shore Bank shirt and helped us greet all of the dogs and their owners,” Diana says. “He did a wonderful job staying by our tent, and as people would spin the wheel for our booth game, he would sniff and play with the dogs that visited. We all had a great time and enjoyed seeing the many dogs and their owners come to our booth.”

Other employees who helped out at Wagfest include community mortgage loan originator Nancy Arciga, district manager Cristen Baumann, Brookfield Square branch manager Maria Baumer, deposit services manager Natalie Canadeo, and debit risk specialist Peggy Theisen. •••

New Hires for September 20
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.

Fox Point universal banker Victoria Magee is from Milwaukee, and lived in Chicago for 10 years and Boston for another 10 before returning to the Badger State. Before joining North Shore Bank, she was a special investigator in the Boston office of FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority; and vice president of compliance for Bolton Global Capital. “I love to golf and shop,” Victoria says. “I usually have the good fortune of playing in at least four or five golf tournaments a summer. My love of shoes led me to working part time as a shoe associate at the Boston Store in Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa. The combination of enjoying what I was doing and sales skills earned me a spot as the highest-grossing salesperson in the history of that location — not to mention a fantastic shoe collection!” •••

North Shore Shape Up: Need a superhero? Try this
We all face challenges in our lives, and some can be very difficult to navigate. It is often helpful to talk with someone who has been through something similar and may be able to share insights or information about how to proceed.

Check out the “Be a Superhero” page on the intranet’s Caregiver Support section. There is a list of co-workers who are willing to talk with you about challenges they have had to face. Click on this link for contact information:

And if you would like to be a superhero for someone, just complete the form on the site and send it to Pat Ingelse at pingelse@northshorebank.com. It is as simple as that, and you could have a wonderful impact on a colleague’s life. If you would like to offer help but are not comfortable adding your name to the list, just let Pat know and you can be privately referred. •••
