Corporate’s 2018 charitable holiday celebration on December 12 brought in $2,156 in donations to Milwaukee Rescue Mission, along with over 185 donated winter clothing items. The nonprofit provides food, clothing, shelter, and assistance to the city’s homeless and ailing families.
Bank employees could learn what items were needed from tags on the Giving Tree set up in the 4 Corners Café, and the Corporate Community Outreach Committee collected donations from November 28 through December 12.
Besides all the wonderful donations, the celebration featured plenty of delicious food, as well as games, a raffle, and prizes.
Milwaukee’s Bel Canto Chorus performed carols for the event, courtesy of the United Performing Arts Fund.
Help desk/telecom tech Pam Bradley created beautiful glass angels for a silent auction. She and project manager Pat Ingelse also put together The Tasty Bytes Cookbook: The Second Helping, which was available for sale during the event.
The creative team in Information Systems set up a breathtaking Winter Wonderland where employees could have their picture taken with Santa Claus.
The Corporate Community Outreach Committee expressed thanks to everyone for their generosity and holiday spirit.
“Whether you donated items or money, helped decorate, set up or cleaned up, donated or helped with your department’s raffle basket, or brought food to share — all of your efforts were appreciated and contributed to the success of our holiday event and helped our community this holiday season,” said Barb Wisneski, VP, loan processing/closing manager.
