Feedback wanted via internal customer service surveys
In 2019, North Shore Bank will once again invite employees to provide feedback to individual departments through our internal customer service surveys. Specifically, we want to know “how easy it is to do business” with all of our departments.
The bank will send out survey invitations every month, focusing each time on a few departments. The surveys are easy to complete and give our departments valuable feedback about the quality of their work. You’ll be asked to rate each department on a scale of 1 to 7, where 1 means “not easy” and 7 means “very easy.” You’ll also have the chance to explain your score, to share what you think the department could improve on, and to recognize any of the department’s employees.
Department managers will use the information to determine their teams’ strengths, to figure out how to do better, and to recognize employees who’ve performed well.
These surveys are an important tool for improving internal customer service throughout the bank. Please be on the lookout for the survey invitations — we thank you for your time and feedback! •••
Question of the Month: What’s your resolution?
Let’s keep this one simple: The new year has just begun. What resolution have you made for 2019? (If you’ve made one at all.) If you’re inclined to share, let Shorelines know!
- Send it to shorelines@northshorebank.com. Be sure to include your name, job title, and branch or department.
- If there’s a picture that fits the subject, send it along! (If you can’t email the photo, text it to 608-318-3348.)
- Deadline is Monday, January 28.
We’ll run responses on Thursday, January 31. Best wishes to everyone making a change! ✊ •••

New Hires for January 17
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.
Union Grove teller Samantha Bradford is originally from Racine and just moved to Union Grove from Milwaukee. Before coming to North Shore Bank, she was a bartender and server at Honeypie restaurant in Bay View. “I like learning about, working on, and riding older motorcycles!” Samantha says. “My current project is an ’86 Honda CX500 that I found covered in snow at a Burlington scrapyard a few months ago. Planning to have it ready by March!” •••
North Shore Shape Up: Relief for dry, itchy skin
While we haven’t gotten as much snow as usual, the Wisconsin winter still features the standard dry air and consequent uncomfortable, itchy skin. Cleveland Clinic Wellness suggests a humidifier as the obvious choice for addressing the problem. If you don’t have one, simply leaving big bowls of water around the house will make the air more moist as the liquid evaporates.
What else can you do? “[K]eep those showers short and warm,” the clinic advises. “As much as you may want to linger under a blast of soothing hot water on cold winter mornings, long, hot showers dry out your skin (and can send your utility bill soaring!). Immediately after your shower, gently pat yourself dry and slather a heavy cream or coconut oil on your body to seal in the moisture.”
They also recommend slathering Vaseline on your lips and cheeks before you head out to ski, sled, or for a winter hike. Stay supple! •••
