To mark 20 years, Shelton-Moss revisits an old passion
At the beginning of 1999, Nikki Shelton-Moss was a newlywed with a decade of experience already under her belt at Community Financial Service Centers, which introduced her to the world of financial services — and in particular, her favorite area: fighting fraud. When Nikki joined the bank as a customer service supervisor, she couldn’t have known she’d still be at North Shore Bank 20 years later, with stints as a security services rep, training specialist for the last 12 years, and now loss prevention manager.

“I have been blessed with a lifetime of friendships here,” she says. “I’ve worked with people who have really become more like family. I have been trained and mentored by some of the most experienced and talented people in this field. For these things, I will forever be grateful.” Read more about her two decades with the bank!

North Shore Shape Up: Sleep helps fight illness
Not that you didn’t know this already, but further research has confirmed that sleep is essential for fighting off illness and staying healthy. Cleveland Clinic Wellness notes:

If you find yourself trying to push through illness or regularly skimp on sleep, listen up: scientists are homing in on how sleep helps us heal. A recent study showed that sleep helps immune cells known as T-cells do their jobs—attaching to and killing viruses and other invaders. Prioritize sleep by limiting caffeine and alcohol too close to bedtime, following a set bedtime and wake time, getting regular exercise, and having a relaxing, tech-free wind-down routine at night.

There’s always so much to do, but getting to bed on time will help you stay ready to do it. •••
