Warmer weather is definitely due one of these days. But with it come April showers, summer thunderstorms, and the occasional tornado! It is never too late to start talking through the action plan for spring storms at work and at home. Here are a couple reminders.

When at work, be sure you know where to go, how to assist customers, and what to do with important documents and cash drawers. Now is the time to make sure your family knows evacuation procedures at home, too. Do a walkthrough with them so everyone knows what they need to do. Figure out an alternate place to keep duplicate copies of important insurance papers and contact information — just in case.

No matter what the time of year, it is important to have the number 866-646-7421 set up in your mobile phone, labeled “RPX Notification” and assigned a unique ringtone. That way, when it appears on your phone, you will know it is either a test or a real call. Either way, be sure to answer it and respond accordingly.

Finally, make sure your contact information is up to date in UltiPro. Remember: If your mobile and home numbers are the same, that number must still be entered in both fields. This data is uploaded into the automated notification system daily. If it becomes necessary to activate the emergency system, it is important we have current contact information for all of you.
