Shorewood’s Brock earns spot as a Teller of the Quarter

Shorewood’s Razalyn Brock was recently recognized as a Teller of the Quarter for the Metro North Region. Her manager wanted to share an example of why Razalyn received this recognition.

“Razalyn was helping a college student here from China. Ying is here in the U.S. based on a scholarship from back home,” branch manager Shannon Weber says. In the course of their conversation, Ying mentioned that not having extra funds on hand has been a challenge at times.

“After listening to her, Razalyn talked with Ying about some of the great benefits of a North Shore Bank credit card. Ying wasn’t sure if she would be approved or not, but was open to speaking with a banker to learn more,” Shannon says. “The end result was, Ying was approved and for more than she expected. She was so happy and so appreciative that Razalyn listened and took the time to make a recommendation that would truly help her.”

Shannon adds: “This is just one example of what I see Razalyn doing every day to help her customers and show them the value of North Shore Bank. I was not surprised to see her earn this award.”

“I didn’t aim to become Teller of the Quarter, although the recognition is nice and I appreciate it,” Razalyn says. “My focus each day is to be impactful — I know what it is like to not be able to understand what your options are when it comes to financial security. If I can convey the things I have learned working with North Shore Bank to our customers successfully, then I have done my job.” •••

Kids win bikes at 2019 Fisheree

One lucky girl and one lucky boy each won a bike on May 19 at the Burlington Conservation Club Kids Fisheree, sponsored by North Shore Bank for over 14 years.

“Funnily enough, the girl who won reluctantly attended with a friend this year, and the boy who won was the brother of that friend,” said Burlington branch manager Robin Callis, pictured above with the two winners.

“The weather the past several years has been less than ideal — usually cold and rainy,” Robin noted. “But this year, the rain ended early and the sun was shining by the time the awards were presented.” •••
