Andrew Torke now helms Sussex

New Sussex branch manager Andrew Torke lives in Franklin and previously worked in gaming operations at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. Andrew first became a bank manager in 2004 and has since worked in both retail and corporate bank management positions. “I always knew I wanted a professional job where I would make an impact both on the company and community I worked for or in, and banking offers both with endless opportunity!” he says.

Andrew describes himself as “very much a hands-on leader” and says if he weren’t in banking, “I would probably be working in some sort of operational or analytical role with a company that supports financial institutions, maybe a third-party service provider of some sort.”

When he’s not working, he enjoys traveling to see new things and getting outdoors. “Last year, a group of us went backpacking in the Badlands for three days and three nights and ended up getting lost for what seemed like days,” he says. “At the time, it was frustrating and tiring, but looking back, the trip wouldn’t have been the same without the way things worked themselves out. Now we can laugh at it and say, ‘Remember that time when we got lost in the Badlands?'”
