How do you celebrate your Hispanic heritage?
Do you celebrate your Hispanic heritage? In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, next week’s Shorelines will feature stories and pictures we receive from employees of Hispanic descent.

Here’s what to do:

  • If you or your ancestors are from Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico or elsewhere in the Caribbean, or Central and South America, tell us how you acknowledge and celebrate your Hispanic heritage — with holidays, family gatherings, trips, special meals, or any other way. Email the information to shorelines@northshorebank.com.
  • Any pictures you can include would be wonderful! Photos can be emailed to shorelines@northshorebank.com or texted to 608-318-3348. Please include IDs of anyone in your photos.
  • The deadline for stories and pictures is noon on Tuesday, October 8.

Email shorelines@northshorebank.com if you have any questions! We can’t wait to hear from you. •••

“Being honored as a finalist for the WMBA Best in Business awards is a testament to the great job our team does,” said VP consumer lending manager Chris Boland. “This year, North Shore Bank has strong representation across many fields, from underwriting and processing to production and leadership. All of our finalists are deserving of a win — I may be biased — and we look forward to celebrating them on the 22nd.” •••

Menasha kicks off new fiscal year

Menasha branch employees kicked off fiscal year 2020 this week with an assortment of fun stuff. “We had light-up wands to light the way into 2020, bubbles to wash away the past and start new, Ring Pops because we all shine bright like diamonds, 100 Grand candy bars, and Pop Rocks because we can’t have fireworks,” said personal banker Wylee Meinhardt. “We also enjoyed the superhero candy bars from the kickoff rally kit.”

The team wrote words and phrases on a whiteboard to describe how they can be heroes to customers, colleagues, and each other. They came up with:

Helpful, humble, honest
Empathy, excited, empowered
Resources, ready to help, rewards
Open to feedback, optimistic, open to change

Above with the board are universal banker Ashley White, Wylee, branch manager Deb Cumming, and teller Jenny Isenhower, complete with cape. The photo was taken by district manager Kerri Collins. •••
