Branch staff offer warm welcome at Zoo Boo

Bank employees helped out at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park’s North Shore Bank Zoo Boo last Friday, October 18. They distributed candy, guided kids through a money math game, and assisted with photos of visitors in costume. “We were in the visitors’ center, so it was warmer than years past,” Northland universal banker Kim Balser said. “We were also next to the register where families paid to get in, so we got to see plenty of ghouls, goblins, superheroes, princesses, and cute animals.”

This year is the 25th anniversary of the zoo’s Halloween event and features theme weekends — last weekend was “Princess & Superhero Weekend.” The Zoo Boo runs through this Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26, which is “Masquerade & Carnival Weekend,” and includes trick-or-treating, a maze, swamp monsters, and other spooky fun. Get more information here.

We invest in our communities — help us do more!

North Shore Bank works hard to serve all the communities where we do business — and per the federal government, we’re succeeding. We want to maintain our strong record and build on it, and you can help. Learn about our Community Reinvestment Act rating and what you can do to raise it even higher!

New Hires for October 24
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.

Marketing department product manager Eric Brooks grew up in New Berlin and lives in Pewaukee now. He previously worked at Refinitiv, a financial data and technology firm; before that, he spent eight years at Guaranty Bank, starting as a teller and working his way up to product manager for retail credit. “Fitness is important to me,” Eric says. “I enjoy exercising and have completed several Spartan Races. I also have participated in strength competitions — my personal best is deadlifting 425 pounds.” •••

Kruse surprised with cake

Last week, Mortgage & Consumer Underwriting surprised consumer credit analyst Todd Kruse with a celebration of his one-year anniversary with the bank. “He thought he was attending a staff meeting, but we surprised him with a cake!” department manager and VP Gina Bontempo said. “Todd has been a great addition to the North Shore Bank family, and we are very happy to have him on the underwriting team.” For his part, Todd said, “It was a surprise! I really enjoyed it.” •••
