New Bayshore branch manager Takiesha Haynes is from Milwaukee and worked for Claire’s before coming to North Shore Bank. “I worked in banking about 10 years ago, and I loved the atmosphere,” she says. So when a friend who worked here talked about how close she was with her “family” of colleagues and how much she enjoyed it, Takiesha decided she wanted to be a part of that too.

She says it can be challenging to precisely define one’s management style, but “I think in general, a good manager gives clear directions and stays ready and available to jump in to offer any guidance, expertise, and help when needed.” As for her personal style, Takiesha notes, “I’m a giver. I feel good when I know I made someone else smile and feel good.”
